*The Field Service Technician position requires travel on an almost weekly basis and when not traveling, this individual will work in Dennis-Eagle’s Summerville, SC plant. Travel may occur sometimes with short notice due to the nature of this position, so the individual will have to be entirely flexible. Travel will mostly be in the continental US, but there is potential to travel into Canada and Mexico and there will likely be training in the UK, so a passport will be required, or the ability to get a passport. Position: Machine Operator
Additional Information: The Machine Operator will operate a variety of machines to include grinders, drawing machines, furnace, and re-spooling.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:-Operate various wire drawing/flattening machines associated with the production of stainless products.
-Input data into MES computer system
-Input machine issues into Machine Diary.
-Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions, working with maintenance.
-Follow protocol based on Quality Management Systems.
-Maintain stock level of needed parts and or accessories to facilitate the manufacture of quality products.
-Read micrometers and other measuring devices.
-Support, develop and implement continuous improvement process and ideas.
-Operate fork-truck as needed.
-Other duties as required.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
-Minimum 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing facility.
-High school diploma required.
-Mechanical aptitude a plus.
-Knowledge or aptitude with hand tools.
-Ability to work as part of a team.
-Problem solving skills.
